Vinyl Cutter
My plan for the vinyl cutter is to use it to cut out the words for my clock. Instead of using the numbers 1-12, I wanted to be creative and go along with the scoring of a tennis match. So I designed my text on Illustrator and when I was finished, I created outlines so that the vinyl cutter would know where to cut. I want to use a florescent color for the words or a black depending on the color of stain I use on the wood.

Summary of How I would Manage My Time in the Lab...
Because I know that being efficient in the lab helps ensure that I can complete all my work, I would first start by beginning the 3D printed stand. I know that based on the size of the stand it could take a long time so it would be smart to get that started so that I can work on other steps while it's being produced. Next, I would use the laser to cut and engrave my wood board so that I have my clock cut out and the tennis design engraved. Lastly, I would use the vinyl cutter to create my decals to apply to the wood in their specific locations. The last step is to assemble the clock mechanism so that my clock could function.
